Kindle DX - An Innovative Wireless Reading Device

On the 7th of July 2010, Amazon Kindle DX was released by Amazon.com, Inc. This new reading device
offers Kindle's innovative wireless delivery and wide array of selection of content with a large 9.7" electronic paper display, storage of up to 3,000 books, built-in PDF reader, and auto-rotate capability. Currently, there are more than 275,000 electronic books that are available in the Kindle Store. New Releases and New York Time Best Sellers cost $9.99, unless marked otherwise. Likewise, Top U.S. and international magazines and newspapers, along with more than 1,500 blogs are available.

Amazon.com's founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, says, "Personal and professional documents look so good on the big display that you'll find yourself changing ink-toner cartridges less often. Cookbooks, computer books, and textbooks - anything highly formatted - also shine on the this device. Carry all your documents and your whole library in one slender package."

New Large Display. It has 2.5 times the surface area of Kindle's 6" display. The device utilizes E ink that looks amazingly similar to ink on paper. Moreover, it doesn't use a backlight, thus the elimination of glare, eye strain and battery consumption.

New Built-In PDF Reader. Using Adobe Reader Mobile technology, it enables PDF files to be viewed and enjoyed. File transfer is simple, which may either be emailed to their Kindle email address or be moved using a USB connection.

New Auto-Rotation. The display content of DX auto-rotates giving readers the choice to view files in either the landscape or portrait mode. This is accomplished by simply turning the device to the desired orientation.

Incredibly Thin. This is over a third of an inch thin, which is thinner than most magazines.

Syncs with Kindle Compatible Devices. This device makes use of Amazon Whispersync technology that automatically syncs contents across Kindle-compatible devices. With this, users can easily move from one device to another.

Lastly, Kindle DX is available in Amazon.com along with other Kindle Wireless Reading Devices.
